Is Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Right for Me?

In a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, all of your unsecured debts will be discharged, including credit card debt, medical bills and other similar debt. In order to qualify for Chapter 7, you must pass the means test, which takes into account your income and expenses. In Chapter 7, you must disclose all of your assets, including your home, cars and other belongings. The bankruptcy trustee will examine your assets to see if any of them can be sold to pay your creditors.
